How to work effectively with interpreters and translators.

A workshop for health and social care researchers, PhD students and public contributors.

Wednesday 30 November, 10 am until 12.30 pm, online

Do you need to commission or work with interpreters or translators as part of a research project?

This workshop launches new guidance developed by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) North East and North Cumbria (NENC) on how to work with language professionals, and cost this into your research.

You will also learn:

  • How to find good quality interpreters and translators
  • How to make accurate interpretation more likely
  • How to brief and debrief an interpreter
  • How to tell if an interpreter lacks skills or training.

You will also receive copies of two newly-developed guides for working with interpreters, to support your learning and work.

PLEASE NOTE THIS SESSION WILL NOT BE RECORDED.
