Inequalities and marginalised communities – event for partners

This is the first event for the Inequalities and Marginalised Communities theme. It aims to bring together partners, contributors and anyone else with an interest in this area of work.

Date & Time – Wed, 7 October 2020 14:00 – 16:00 BST
Location – Online Event
Price – Free

Hosted by Professor Clare Bambra, NIHR ARC NENC theme lead for Inequalities and Marginalised Communities, Professor of Public Health at Newcastle University. Co-hosted by Dr Steph Scott, NIHR NENC ARC Senior Research Fellow for Inequalities and Marginalised Communities.

The session will include the following:

  • Over-arching theme update: Our local and national work
  • Project showcase: A look at some of the work we’re currently progressing
  • Community Engagement and Public Involvement: What does this mean for our theme and how do we engage with the people that we need to?
  • Discussion and Q&A session: How do we sustain our work in the current COVID-19 climate, and what should our priorities be?

We may break out into smaller groups if we feel it will benefit the flow of the event – more details will be provided nearer the time.
