The role will support our national leadership work in Health Inequalities

Applications are invited for a talented and ambitious Research Assistant/Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to work within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) covering the North East and North Cumbria and to work across all ARCs as part of our national leadership in Health Inequalities.

You will have (or submitted) a doctorate in a relevant topic and experience proportionate to the level of post applied for in health inequalities and the social determinants of health. Required skills will include: the development of research studies and analysis plans; quantitative and/or qualitative data collection and analysis; the ability to publish work in high quality peer reviewed journals; the confidence to engage with collaborators at all levels of seniority, across different regions and sectors of the public health and health care system; and a willingness to work with research partners across multiple universities. The successful applicant will be appointed to a suitable point on the common pay scale according to qualifications and experience. The post will require the ability to travel within and beyond the UK.
