We are looking to appoint an embedded researcher to support the development of social care research across our NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) for the North East and North Cumbria, NIHR Local Clinical Research Network (LCRN) and a local authority within our region.

The post is full-time, fixed term for two years, with the potential to extend for a further year after review. It will have a base in a local authority setting as well as in Newcastle University.

You will help to establish a research culture in social care and offer practical advice to practitioner colleagues to ensure that evidence, data generation and evaluation can become part of usual practice. You will also deliver research on social care and/or social work and support applications for research project funding with an applied health and social care focus and/or linked to LCRN priorities.
