Public Involvement and Community Engagement is at the heart of our work as an Applied Research Collaboration.

We are currently looking to appoint an NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) Fellow focused on Public Involvement and Community Engagement (PICE).

The post-holder will work as an integral part of the NIHR ARC across the North East and North Cumbria to drive, support and research all Public Involvement and Community Engagement activity across the collaboration.

You will work directly with the ARC leadership team and particularly the ARC Director and Deputy Director, PICE portfolio lead, the ARC Programme Manager and Research Theme Leads to help develop and deliver an evidence-based ARC-specific public involvement and community engagement strategy.

You will be expected to conduct high quality applied research on the principles, processes and outcomes of Public Involvement work and help build capacity and capability in this field of work.

You will be managed by a relevant member of the ARC Operational Executive Group and will be expected to support the PICE activity of the ARC in line with the broader ‘One NIHR’ approach to effective coordination by helping to join up NIHR infrastructure public involvement and engagement leads across the region.

The post is fixed term for 4 years. Closing date 29 November 2020.
