News: Young people from Cumbria are taking the lead in health and social care research

Young people from Carlisle and Brampton are involved in a number of participatory action research projects, as part of an ARC NENC-funded project, supported by ARC members from the University of Cumbria and Northumbria University.

The findings aim to benefit organisations, practitioners and policy makers across the North East and North Cumbria area – by helping them to understand the support young people want and how they want to access it, as well as understand the value of engaging young people in service design.

Their early reports, plus a Participatory Action Research toolkit, have just been published on our website.
