Background
Dr Abisola Balogun-Katung is a Social Care Research Fellow with a background in public health and a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
Since completing her PhD in Public Health, which qualitatively explored the lived experiences of HIV positive men who have sex with men in Nigeria, Abisola has continued to contribute to the delivery of high-quality applied health research, using a range of research methodologies including systematic review, qualitative, quantitative and co-production.
She is committed to amplifying marginalised and vulnerable voices through her research.
Her work to date is focused on improving health and life outcomes for vulnerable populations, particularly children and young people involved with children’s social care.
Her most recent work involves designing, implementing, and managing applied social care research with vulnerable children and families in contact with children’s social care.
