Background
Layla Mofrad is a Social Worker, Accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Supervisor, and EMDR therapist. She has significant experience working in IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) primary care services and currently works as a Senior Psychological Therapist at the Centre for Specialist Psychological Therapies in Newcastle.
In recent years she has worked on developing and delivering group interventions focussing on building tolerance to uncertainty; a transdiagnostic intervention for people with anxiety disorders.
Area of work
Layla plans to develop the evidence for uncertainty-based interventions by evaluating the Making Friends with Uncertainty Group using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
