Contact Dr Kerry Brennan-Tovey
Kerry Brennan-Tovey is a Research Fellow aligned to our supporting women, children, and family health research theme.
Her previous work includes exploring the barriers to accessing maternity care for women living on low incomes, evaluating breastfeeding peer support services, evaluating a women’s health hub in the North East, evaluating the national tobacco dependence service, and exploring tobacco use in pregnant women living on low incomes.
Kerry has a growing interest in women’s health across the life course and has undertaken a short placement within the Women’s Health team at the Integrated Care Board (ICB) NENC in 2026.
Kerry’s interests include ensuring women’s health services are equitable, improving preventive care for women, and exploring barriers to access of services.
Kerry is also very passionate about public involvement and community engagement in research, working closely with community experts to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion of public partners in her research.
