Contact Dr Phill Harniess
Dr Phill Harniess is a clinical academic paediatric physiotherapist and mid-career researcher, with 20 years of clinical experience in neonatal and early years care across community and acute settings in London.
His research and clinical interests focus on supporting parent carers, infants, and young children with neurodisability.
He recently moved to the North East to take up a post-doctoral qualitative researcher role at Northumbria University, where he is also part of the Innovation and Implementation Research group.
He currently holds an NIHR Development Skills Enhancement Award, aimed at building skills, knowledge, and networks in complex evaluations and interventions – particularly within the shift from acute to community care, and neighbourhood-based models for early years childhood disability services.
