Research Assistant / Research Associate / Senior Research Associate – Health Inequalities or Prevention.

We are looking for talented and ambitious researchers to join our NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) covering the North East and North Cumbria and support our national leadership in Prevention and Inequalities.

Full time or job share – four full time posts are available, each fixed term until 30 September 2024.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant community of researchers at an exciting and busy time.

Experience and skills

You will have doctorate level training and experience proportionate to the level of post applied for in Public Health/Prevention and Health and Social Inequalities. Required skills will include: the development of funding proposals, research studies and analysis plans; quantitative and/or qualitative data collection and analysis; the ability to disseminate findings including project reports, presentations at meetings/conferences, publication in peer-reviewed journals, and ‘Plain English’ summaries; the confidence to engage with collaborators at all levels of seniority, across different regions and sectors of the health and care system; and a willingness to work with partners across multiple Universities.
