Health Literacy: From policy to practice (seminar)
Delivered by Health Literacy UK, supported by NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North East and North Cumbria, and Newcastle University.
Understanding of both the impact of low health literacy on people and their lives, and interventions that can make a difference, is increasing all the time. Moving on from this knowledge to action to implement change can, however, be challenging.
This seminar will hear from those developing and implementing health literacy plans at international, national and local levels, with a particular focus on how to identify and engage levers for change, and how to identify and overcome barriers to change.
The key note speaker is Don Nutbeam, who has many years of leadership in the field.
The session will be hybrid. Those booking early will be offered the choice of in-person or remote attendance. Once in-person capacity is reached, attendees will be offered remote attendance.
