About the event

This event will be jointly hosted by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) North East and North Cumbria (NENC)’s Enabling Methodologies theme, and the newly-launched NIHR Research Support Service Hub delivered by Newcastle University and partners.

The event will provide opportunities for researchers to network and share learning about applied research methodology in the region, and to meet members of the NIHR Research Support Service Hub. You can also hear about progress and the latest developments on a number of research projects funded by the NIHR ARC North East and North Cumbria.

It will include talks from:

  • Eileen Kaner, Professor in Public Health and Primary Care Research, and Director of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) for the North East and North Cumbria
  • Peter van der Graaf, Associate Professor in Public Health at Northumbria University
  • Dawn Craig, Professor of Evidence Synthesis and Director of the NIHR Innovation Observatory.
  • Dawn Teare, Professor of Biostatistics and Director of the NIHR RSS HUB delivered by Newcastle University and Partners

The event is open to academic researchers, health and care professionals, community and voluntary sector staff, and community members interested in applied research.
