Title: Parent and professional experiences of 24/7 paediatric end-of-life care: a mixed methods study

Overview: The aim of the study is to develop a complex intervention to help the delivery of, and access to, 24/7 paediatric end-of-life care in the North East and Yorkshire region. The study will assess parent and professional experiences and needs, and patterns of care at end of life and outcomes in other regions where interventions have been developed.  The study has three workstreams: WS1: focus groups with health professionals; WS2: interviews with parents (parents of a child with a Life Limiting Condition and also bereaved parents); and WS3: a quantitative assessment on emergency healthcare use in the last 12 months of life, place of death and cost estimations
