We’re looking to carry out research with practitioners or support workers who have experience of working with older adults who have co-occurring alcohol and mental health problems.

Researchers from Newcastle University are looking for health or mental health practitioners to take part in a 30 minute confidential interview to inform the development of integrated support for older people with co-occurring alcohol and mental health problems in the North East and North Cumbria.

The study is funded by the NIHR ARC North East and North Cumbria and led by Dr Beth Bareham at Newcastle University.

What does the interview involve?

The interview would be conducted over the phone, online, or face-to-face as preferred at a time that suits you.

The research team are keen to learn your perspectives on the support needs of this group, and challenges faced in meeting these in the current care system.

They are seeking input from an array of practitioners who would come into contact with this group, and welcome your input even if this does not relate to any special interest.

You can find out more by downloading the practitioner interview information sheet, below.
