ARC NENC Impact and Implementation group – share your views on how we can make the group more accessible and useful.
The ARC NENC’s Impact and Implementation (I&I) group aims to be the first point of call for questions on research implementation and impact.
Through it, we share learning on how to maximise impact; highlighting successes, challenges, and hearing from practitioners who have affected change.
The group is a network that includes experts in impact and implementation, and also offers peer support. The meetings are open to anyone with an interest in impact and implementation including practitioners, public members, researchers and academics.
In a recent I&I group meeting we considered how well the current structure supported the aims of the group, and those people who currently attend – or who may like to in the future.
As a result, we propose to change how the meetings are structured; reducing their length and focussing each meeting on a particular topic of interest. This will include a presentation that describes how implementation or mobilisation methods have been utilised, followed by a discussion where attendees can ask questions.
The topic of each meeting will be clearly communicated to enable people to attend the meetings that are most relevant to them. Meetings will be held when relevant topics are identified, and other updates will be communicated via email. Face to face events will provide the opportunity to meet with colleagues working in similar areas.
We’d like to receive feedback on these changes to the group from people who have attended previously, as well as from people who haven’t attended but are interested in doing so in the future.
