Public Involvement and Community Engagement (PICE) Remuneration/Payment Policy (2023)

This document sets out guidance that aims to ensure that public contributors and small community organisations that are engaged in activities on behalf of the NIHR ARC NENC are fully reimbursed for expenses, and remunerated for their time and expertise.

It covers the costs of PICE activities across the NIHR ARC NENC centrally. It does not cover costs at an individual research theme level or those funded through the ARC OFC 2020/2021 or other funded projects (although those costs should be consistent with national NIHR guidelines).
